It is losing it's character. We are beginning to look like USA anywhere! How many years have we been fighting to save our golf course? It's all about taxes. The county has become too greedy! Please, we must fight to save this beautiful, almost historic building!one who careshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11963457899906965033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5632488142326985151.post-88752748409788214492016-06-11T19:49:56.492-07:002016-06-11T19:49:56.492-07:00It appears Breuer's building is two storey. Library stacks require much greater floor strength than general use office building space so we should find out how much of the API building wouldn't be able to accommodate them.Stephen Hollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12194151636977217728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5632488142326985151.post-83810269191054930532016-06-10T03:56:21.357-07:002016-06-10T03:56:21.357-07:00What a brilliant idea! Two problems, one solution...What a brilliant idea! Two problems, one solution. Particularly appropriate as the API and the library have a shared purpose: dissemination of knowledge through writing. And it sounds like the money is already there for the purchase. If you start now, the library could be in the API building for good within a few years. Make it so. Step two would be how to re-purpose the existing site. There is currently an on-line petition to voice your opinion on step one here: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/breuer

The FLA may also want start their own petition to advocate the reuse of the building for the new library.Patrick W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16324107249402432825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5632488142326985151.post-38921358361411797762016-06-08T14:05:37.268-07:002016-06-08T14:05:37.268-07:00What a wonderful use of this building.
